QC Inspection Standard: CMM Test & Third-Party Lab Compliance Report
Jokddy
For overseas buyers engaged in telecommunication, automotive and medical equipment manufacturing, stable dimensional accuracy and complete export compliance certification are two non-negotiable core requirements when sourcing custom CNC machining and die casting metal parts. Uncontrolled tolerance deviation or incomplete test reports will directly cause assembly failure, product recall and customs clearance blockage in target markets.
Many small-scale metal processing factories only rely on simple calipers for rough dimension measurement and cannot provide formal third-party lab compliance documents, which brings huge hidden risks to your mass production orders. As a certified ISO9001 & IATF16949 precision parts manufacturer, Zhongzhu Technology establishes standardized full-process QC inspection system centered on CMM precision dimensional testing and authoritative third-party laboratory verification, covering every link from raw material incoming to finished goods shipment.
In summary, our quality control system is divided into two core modules: internal high-precision CMM dimensional inspection to guarantee part assembly performance, and external third-party lab testing & compliance reporting to meet global market environmental, corrosion and safety standards. Below we detail the complete execution standards and applicable scenarios of both inspection systems.
1. Standardized CMM Coordinate Measuring Machine Dimensional Inspection
CMM test is our core internal inspection procedure to control micron-level dimensional tolerance for precision components such as 5G antenna cavities, automotive heat sinks and medical equipment housings.

1.1 Application Rules for CMM Test
- New mold prototype stage: 100% full-point CMM scanning of all drawing dimensions, including length, thickness, hole position, flatness, parallelism and other geometric tolerances; generate complete 3D dimensional deviation report to adjust mold or CNC processing parameters before mass production.
- Mass production shift first-piece inspection: Every production shift’s first finished workpiece must pass full CMM test. Only after all dimensions meet drawing tolerance can the workshop launch continuous batch production.
- Batch sampling inspection standard: Follow international AQL sampling rules. High-precision telecom & medical parts adopt AQL 0.4 standard; general automotive & electronic housings apply AQL 1.0. Randomly pick samples from each production lot for full CMM re-scanning to avoid batch dimensional drift caused by tool wear or fixture deviation.
- Special functional parts full inspection: All RF antenna cavities with strict air tightness and flatness requirements receive 100% CMM flatness and sealing surface inspection before surface treatment.
1.2 Deliverable CMM Test Documents
After each CMM measurement, our QC team will export a formal digital inspection report, recording nominal dimension, actual measured value, tolerance deviation and pass/fail judgment for each measuring point. The report will be archived with batch production records and attached to the delivery document package upon shipment for your incoming factory audit.
2. Third-Party Laboratory Testing & Official Compliance Report

Internal CMM inspection ensures product machining precision, while third-party lab testing provides authoritative, internationally recognized certification documents to satisfy EU, North America and global market import regulations. We cooperate with SGS, Intertek and other CNAS accredited testing institutions to complete all required lab tests and issue formal compliance reports.
2.1 Main Third-Party Test Items & Corresponding Reports
- Raw Material Composition Test We send alloy raw material samples to third-party labs for spectral analysis, issuing material COC certificate to verify the material grade (6061/6063 aluminum, Zamak zinc alloy, magnesium alloy, 316 stainless steel) matches your drawing requirement.
- EU Environmental Compliance Test (RoHS & REACH SVHC) All aluminum, zinc, magnesium blanks and surface coating layers are tested to limit heavy metal and harmful substance content. We supply official RoHS test report and REACH SVHC candidate substance report for customs clearance and customer factory audit in European countries.
- Surface Performance Lab Test
- Salt spray corrosion test: Test anti-rust performance of anodizing, powder coating and electroplating layers; support customized test hours from 48h to 500h according to your product’s outdoor working environment.
- Film thickness test: Verify Type I/II/III anodizing oxide layer thickness to guarantee wear resistance and RF conductive performance.
- Special Functional Test For Specific Industries
- RF performance lab test for 5G communication antenna cavity parts to detect signal loss index;
- High-temperature aging test for automotive die cast heat sink components to simulate vehicle operating environment.
2.2 Report Delivery & Batch Traceability
Each batch of export orders corresponds to an independent third-party test report with unique batch code. All reports are filed for at least 2 years, and we can reissue duplicate certification documents at any time if you lose the original copy...
