RFQ:
Q1:Can you make custom injection molds & die casting molds according to our 3D drawings?
A1:Yes absolutely. We accept designs from SolidWorks, UG, Pro/E and other mainstream formats. We will provide a free DFM report first to optimize the structure and avoid potential manufacturing problems before starting mold design and machining.
Q2:What information do you need to quote accurately?
A2:
1) 2D/3D drawings or physical samples;
2) Required mold steel material & target mold service life (shot quantity);
3) Number of mold cavities & surface finish requirements;
4) Trade term (FOB/CIF/DAP) and destination port;
5) Estimated annual order volume.
Q3:How long is your mold lead time?
A3:Conventional small & medium molds take 15–25 working days from design to mold trial; large complex molds take 25–40 working days. We will confirm the exact schedule on the formal quotation sheet.
Q4:What mold steel options do you supply?
A4:For injection molds: P20, 718H, S136H, NAK80, STAVAX; For die casting molds: H13, 8407, SKD61, 2344. We recommend suitable steel grade based on your expected mold life and production volume.
Q5:What is your guaranteed mold lifespan?
A5:Service life depends on selected mold steel: General plastic molds: 300,000–500,000 shots; Corrosion-resistant precision molds: 800,000–1,000,000+ shots; Die casting molds: 80,000–150,000 shots, with wearable inserts replaceable separately.
Q6:How many free mold trials are included? Do you support revision?
A6:2 rounds of standard mold trials are free of charge. Minor adjustments and small revisions caused by our design error are free. If revisions are triggered by customer’s product design update, we will list reasonable revision fees separately.
Q7:Will you send the finished mold to our factory directly?
A7:Sure. We can deliver the mold to your designated seaport or factory address globally. Besides mold delivery, we also provide follow-up injection molding & die casting mass production service for finished parts as an option.
Q8:What trade terms can you offer? Can you do DDP to EU countries?
A8:FOB local port, CIF, CFR are our regular terms. We can cooperate with reliable freight forwarders to arrange DAP/DDP delivery to most EU member states, including customs clearance and tax payment procedures.
Q9:Do your products comply with EU standards? Can you provide related documents?
A9:Our mold steel and raw materials comply with EU RoHS requirements. We can issue material certificates, inspection reports, packing list, commercial invoice and full set export customs documents for customs clearance in Europe.
Q10:Is the quotation fixed? Can you offer volume discounts?
A10:The quotation is valid for 30 days. For repeat orders or large annual order quantities, we will offer favorable long-term cooperative pricing accordingly.
Q11:What is your standard payment term for molds?
A11:Common payment term: 50% deposit upon order confirmation, 40% payment after successful mold trial and customer confirmation, 10% balance before shipment. Negotiable for long-term large clients.
