What Are The Structural Components Of The Injection Mold?
1. Forming parts
The parts that give the shape, structure, and size of the molding material are usually composed of a core (punch), a concave cavity, a threaded core, and inserts.
2. Pouring system
It is a channel that leads molten plastic from the nozzle of the injection machine to the closed mold cavity, usually consisting of the main channel, a branch channel, a gate, and a cold well.
3. Guide parts
To ensure that the movable die and the fixed die can be accurately aligned when they are closed, the guide part is set to play a guiding and positioning role. It is composed of a guidepost and a guide sleeve. The ejection mechanism moves smoothly and reliably.
4. Demoulding mechanism
The device for realizing demoulding of plastic parts and the pouring system has many structural forms. The most commonly used demolding mechanisms are the ejector rod, ejector pipe, top plate, and pneumatic ejector. Generally, ejector rod, reset rod, slingshot, and ejector rod fixing plate, the top plate (top ring) and the top plate guide column/guide sleeve, and other components.
5. Core pulling mechanism
For plastic parts with side holes or underside concave, before being ejected and demolded, side core pulling or slider separation (lateral parting) must be carried out before the mold can be demolded smoothly.
6. Mold temperature adjustment system
To meet the mold temperature requirements of the injection molding process, a mold temperature adjustment system (such as cooling water, hot water, hot oil, electric heating system, etc.) is required to adjust the mold temperature.
7. Exhaust system
To discharge the gas in the mold cavity smoothly, an exhausted groove is often set at the parting surface of the mold, and the gap between the pushrods or other movable parts (such as sliders) of many molds can also play an exhausting role.
8. Other structural parts
Parts set to meet the requirements of the mold structure (such as fixed plate, movable/fixed template, support head, support plate, connecting screws, etc.).
